Dawn Witte: I created the Be Line to inspire people to be their very best selves using seven words we can all choose to BE; love, kind, happy, inspired, genuine, strong, and grateful. My vision was to create a Givers Marketplace where I could raise money to fund the work of the Desire to Inspire Foundation while sharing the work of artists and creators from around the world that may not otherwise have had the opportunity or avenue to have their work seen. $7 of every item purchased from this site will help us empower and lift children around the world so that they may live their happiest and most fulfilling lives, filled with meaning, kindness, and love.

We just recently launched the store last month and so far our best sellers are the calendars, framed prints, tank tops, tote bags, and bracelets. I am very fond of the African prints and calendar because they were taken by our Spotlight Artist Davis Hidinks Oching from Kenya. Davis is an aspiring photographer and being able to share his amazing talent with the world gives me so much joy, plus they are absolutely stunning.
Tell us about your book, Be… which imparts an important message about perseverance, purpose, and putting kindness out into the world.
All of my books can be found on Amazon. I hope my books help people be their best selves and live lives full of purpose and happiness. When I was thinking of the title of my book I thought about the Seven Deadly Sins. I always like to come from a place of sharing what we could do rather than what we should not do. I chose seven words that we can chose to be in order to live into our highest calling while making the world a better place. Choosing to be love, kind, strong, genuine, happy, inspired, and grateful truly enriches our lives. I am a firm believer that we are here for each other and we can use our lives to be the change we wish to see simply by who we choose to be.

We just released “The Recipes for Being; The Power of Kind,” with the rest of the series to follow shortly. RECIPES FOR BEING is a unique and fun pocket coloring journal series. The flagship book, Recipes for Being: The Power of Seven, was published in 2019 as a collaborative publishing project (aka anthology or crowdsourced book) similar to the “Chicken Soup” books. Seven life coaches each provided a wonderful chapter using one of the Recipes forBeing power words: kind, grateful, inspired, happy, strong, genuine and love. We are inviting aspiring authors to write their own book showcasing one of our seven power words.
We are also relaunching “Be …: A Coloring Journal Planner That Celebrates Living a Life of
Purpose by Design” with colorful new planner pages which should be available soon.
As an International Speaker, what topics are in the works for the upcoming months?
We are organizing a volunteer trip to Uganda and Ghana in October of 2021. I will be traveling with several other authors and speakers and we are hoping to do several speaking engagements while we are there. I also hope is to have our first sustainability center built that will help lift the entire community of Busia Uganda by creating meaningful work and educational programs. We want everyone to be able to use their unique gifts and talents to create their happiest and most fulfilling lives full of purpose and love. We are currently raising the funds to build our first center to help Mama Josephine and the 67children she is lovingly raising. We will be purchasing bricks from Father Henry Murillo which will help him earn money to take care of his family and the orphaned children he has taken in, while building a safe place for Mama and the children to live, and we will be providing educational programs for all of those who live in the village. Our goal is to lift the entire community and help all live into their highest and greatest calling.
How important is it to give back?
I am a certified life coach and one of the first things I learned was about the Universal Law of Reciprocity. This law states that whatever is sent out into the universe, either in thoughts, emotions, or actions, will manifest outcomes in our own life. Like Karma, what we give, we receive. When we keep our giving and receiving in balance there is no limit to the many blessings that will come our way. Being able to touch other’s lives in love and kindness simply feels good. As Ralph Waldo Emerson so famously said, “To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
